What we need
We’re looking for a brilliant copywriter who’s passionate about all things word-related, keen to get experience writing across different channels, and understands briefs and how to respond to them. Most importantly, we’d love to find someone who is excited about the opportunity to write within a vibrant in-house team for one of the nation’s most loved brands.
You’ll be responsible for crafting intelligent, thoughtful, engaging copy – full of wit and relatability that reflects our tone of voice – in a fast-paced, online retail environment. You’ll be writing for all kinds of different media from engaging emails to creatively concepted Insta stories and smart SEO content.
Reporting to the Head of Copy, you’ll help articulate our tone of voice, and execute it flawlessly and consistently across the board.
Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for ensuring a high standard of written English in all copy produced for the business. You’ll work with the marketing, Partner and PR teams to create clear, thoughtful and relevant copy.
Something about you…
A true creative writer and thinker, you have the ability to turn briefs around quickly and accurately, and bring brilliant, original, conceptual ideas to everything you work on – from intriguing subject lines and witty headlines to must-click CTAs. You have a diverse portfolio of work (without a cliché in sight), excellent attention to detail (flawless spelling, grammar, proofreading etc), and the innate ability to thrive under pressure.
We’re looking for someone with consistently impeccable long and short copy skills, someone who enjoys pushing the boundaries and having fun with language, someone who can bring creativity to CRM and write with wry observational humour and real insight.
- Proven conceptual copywriting experience, ideally gained in a multi-channel environment, across both print and digital content
- Excellent people and time management skills
- Clear ability to write original, insightful, search engine-friendly copy that gets results
- Able to use SEO practices to optimise articles and increase visibility
- Ability to translate a brief into impactful, creative copy that’s consistent with our brand tone of voice and shows impeccable attention to detail
- Strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a high-pressure environment
- A passion for delivering great creative work
