Security Guard Job Description
1. Patrol industrial and commercial area to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and make sure doors, windows, and gates are secured.
2. Answer to alarms and investigate any disturbances.
3. Monitor and authority of entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of the area.
4. Write reports on daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized personals, or unusual occurrences.
5. Call the police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized personals.
6. Answer to telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours.
